21st January Wednesday Scout Meeting

 For this meeting, there will be two new SPLs-of-the-Day, Ryan Lee and Lim Jin Wei. As I have stated in the previous post, please treat them, as well as the instructors, with respect.

Please show up in the proper attire. Those that don't do so without a valid reason will face punishment.

16th January Friday Scout Meeting

Fall in: Primary School Field
Time: 1425-1830
Attire: FSU, Bring along PT Kit 2

Meeting Schedule:
1425-1440: Administration
1440-1500: Opening Ceremony
1500-1750: Sec 2s: SS Backwoodsmen
                   Sec 3s: SS Pioneering
                   Sec 4s: ASS Footdrill
1750-1810: Closing Ceremony
1810-1830: Dismissal and Announcements


Sec 3s are to finish building the flagpole by 1410, so as to have sufficient time to change back in FSU. sec 2s do help out as well. Please find Cheam Jia Wei for the key to the furniture store if you need to use the equipment for the building of the flagpole.

All bags are to be placed in the Scout Den by 1410.

There will be 2 SPLs-of-the-Day leading the meeting, Sean Tan and Cheam Jia Wei. Even though the sec 3s will be the ones leading instead of the sec 4s, all scouts are to give them the same respect that is due for a senior. Please remember to address them correctly.

Sec 4s are to fall in at 1535 outside of the scout den in your FSU.

Please remember to come in the proper attire. For your information, 'FSU, Bring along PT Kit 2' means that you would fall in in FSU but also bring along your PT Kit 2 to change into but leave it in your bag. Also, the attendance for 14th January's Wednesday meeting was not up to expectation. Please encourage one another to attend meeting as those who have been absent without official reasons will be confronted.

Please remember that during fall in, you are not supposed to fidget. Fidgeting includes not looking foward, talking and laughing. If anyone is caught fidgeting, punishment will be meted out.

14th January Wednesday Scout Meeting

All sec 2s are to collect as much firewood as possible for the backwoodsmen training before the meeting. Those who have passed SS Backwoodsmen will do ASS Backwoodsmen. Sec 4s are to revise on ALL the ASS Footdrill commands and how they should be executed.

This is the first official meeting of this year, and although it has been a while for some since the last meeting, I hope everyone would be punctual and fall in in the correct attire. Another thing that I have noticed over some time is that some of our scout brothers DO NOT READ THE SCOUT BLOG, which would result in them not falling in in the correct attire and at the right time too. Please encourage them to read the blog before every meeting or spread the word to them if there are any changes that they are not aware of.

Please take care of your own safety and the safety of those around you. Safety should be our number 1 priority and it is not something to be taken likely of, especially in activities such as backwoodsmen and pioneering. Also, like Erik sir said during the CCA Maze, when we fall in, we should fall in together, leaving NO ONE behind. Another VERY IMPORTANT POINT is that no one should cut squad in front of any instructors during meeting, as this is very disrespectful. For those that were present during CCA Maze, I hope you remember the punishment and learn from the mistakes that were made. Another important point to take note of is that, when an instruction is given by an instructor, you are expected to follow it to the letter.

6th January Tuesday Scout Meeting (CCA Maze)

Fall in: Outside Scout Den
Time: 1215-1730
Attire: PT Kit 2, bring along FSU

1215-1350: CCA Maze Preparation
1350-1645: CCA Maze
1645-1730: Packing up and Dismissal

Scouts are to fall in at 1215 as there is not much time for preparation and there are still a lot of things that has to be done before CCA Maze begins. If possible, please have a quick bite before falling in.

There should not be anyone wearing improper attire. There should not be any mistakes on your full scout uniform on the day itself. If there are any mistakes, please get them fixed by this meeting. This also applies to all other meetings.

Let's all put in our best efforts so that we will have many sec 1s joining us this year! 加油!

For Scouts who are interested in passing their ASS hike component, you are to complete a hike report and submit it to your PL by the March Holidays.

Submission of De:Xufto forms

This is a final reminder for Scouts who have yet to submit their De:Xufto forms. Please submit it tomorrow or else we would have to call your parents to confirm that they have given you the consent to come for De:Xufto. No one (including me) likes to be disturbed at 7.45am in the morning. Anyone without a patrol should not fall in with any of the four patrols and form a new row when falling in.
