Attire: PT kit 2 (Sec 2s and 4s), FSU with black shoe ( sec 3s), PE attire (sec 1s)

Since the majority has already completed their backwoodsman tests, and due to time constraints, we will postpone all backwoodsman tests to after June.

1430-1445:

-Attendance taking

-Recital of scout law and promise

-Administrative matters

1445-1600:

Sec 1s: lashings (round, square and diagonal)

Sec 2s: pioneering (1-1 flagpole)

Sec 3s: 321 flagpole test

Sec 4s: taking sec 1,2,3

1600-1640:

Sec 1s: Footdrill training for investiture

Sec 2s: lashings

Sec 3s: Footdrill

Sec 4s: taking sec 1,2,3

1640-1650: Announcement by teachers

1650-1720:

- Packing Up equipment and putting back logistics

-Debrief and dismissal

Reminders:

1)Scouts who have not brought their donation cards, please do so by this friday.

2) scouts who are vaccinated, inform your PLs.

3)Stay hydrated by drinking enough water.

4)PLs to inform secretary of attendance about attendance by 1430 tomorrow.

321 flagpole test

 To all sec 3s:

       You will be having your 321 flagpole test on friday. Please revise on your lashings, especially round, tripod rolling hitch and marlin spike. 

       The test will be split into two parts. First, you will tie all knots and lashings of the flagpole and prepare the rolling hitches and guylines, in 20 minutes.

After that, you will have a water break before you qi the flagpole. The flagpole raising time cannot exceed 15 minutes.

        Sec 4s will only be supervising the sec 3s and we will not be helping you. Please discuss on who will do what before coming to training.

March 25 Friday Meeting

 March 25 Scout Meeting details

Attire: Half Uniform without scarf (Pe attire for sec 1s)

Reminder: Scouts are to bring firewood, kindling, tinder, and all materials needed. 

1430-1445

Sec 1s: backwoodsman practice

Sec 2s and 3s: backwoodsman test

Sec 4s: taking sec 1s,2s and 3s

1645-1715:

-Pack up equipment and put back logistics

-Debrief and dismissal

Reminders:

1) Fall in punctually with water bottles

2) Fall in with a gap between each level and SMM are to be observed throughout the CCA meeting.

3) Stay hydrated by drinking sufficient water.

4) if you had your vaccination one week prior to the meeting, avoid strenuous activity and report to your PLs

5) PLs to inform attendance IC about scouts who are not coming before 1430.

Backwoodsman test

 To all sec 1s, 2s and 3s,

      Sec 2s and 3s, you will be having your backwoodsman test this friday. Sec 1s, you will take it on next wednesday, and friday will be your practice time.

      The test will be an assessment of ability to start a fire and to sustain a fire by yourself for 5 minutes.

      Additionally, you will need to ensure that your safety and the safety of other’s is not comprimised and not fool around. Any scout who fools around will be failed.

      Those who fail the test will retake it again after every one has taken the test already.

      Attire on friday will be half uniform. Please prep your uniform correctly to ensure you look smart on the day.
