Preperations for Scout founder's day flag pole

Hi Scouts, these are some of the photos taken during the preperation for Founder's Day Flag Pole. Even though our structure was not as straight as we would like it to be, at least we managed to "起" the structure. Our knot tying skills have also improved a lot. I hope you guys will put in the same level of enthusiasm and effort for all future meetings.

Yours in Scouting,
Gerald Chee

World Scout Badge results

These are the results for the WSB Theory retest and WSB Knotting test conducted today.

World Scout Badge Theory Test

I am happy to inform all Sec 1s that everyone has passed the theory test! However, please do familiarise yourselves with the Scout Promise and Scout Law as it is required for the investiture. It is also compulsory for all scouts to know them by heart.

World Scout Badge Knotting Test

Due to some changes in the test criteria, the knotting test will be conducted again during next Wednesday's meeting. The new criteria for the test is as such: Know how to tie all 5 knots and be able to explain the uses of all the knots. Hence, I would like all Sec 1s to familiarise yourselves with all the knots before the test.
The knots tested are:
1. Reef knot
2. Thumb knot
3. Round turn and 2 half hitches
4. Clove hitch
5. Sheetbend
If you are unsure on how to tie the various knots, you can refer to the videos under the "Knots" tab.

SPL Ryan Cordeiro
