ASS/FCS Hike Camp 16-17June
Hi scouts, on 16-17 June our scouts went for a ASS/FCS hike. The hike is a tiring one, it tested both our physical and mental strength, but all of us encouraged each other and endured it, in the end, completing the hike. Though this hike might be tough, it is a meaningful one as we learned new skills such as map reading and navigation.I hope more of you will join us in our next event!

ASS/FCS Hike details and additional information
16th - 17th June ASS/FCS Hike
Fall in Time: 0800
Attire: Full Scout Uniform
Fall in Location: East Coast Park Burger King (The entrance closer to the sea).
For ASS hike, the group is required to come up with a group report.
For FCS hike, each member of the group is required to come up with an individual report.
All groupings will be released on the date itself.
Hol Yin Sir has uploaded his FCS hike report and some guidelines when doing a hike report. Please view them and take note of what is required. The marking of the report would be based on these two documents.

A few additional expectations for the hike report:
Font requirements: Times New Roman, 12, line spacing 1.5, justified for all texts (excluding headings)
A personal reflection (2 pages max) about this hike. Do not give me a generic reflection, meaning that should I change the title of your hike reflection to "De:Xufto Camp Reflection", your reflection should not make sense.

Participants are advised to pack light
for the camp.
Participants are also reminded not to
bring the following items to camp:
Hand phone
(Allowed to bring to camp. Will be kept by instructors at the start of the camp
and only be returned after break camp)
Unauthorized
Electronic Devices
Food
Playing
Cards
Excessive Cash
Other Valuables
If any of the
mentioned items are found, they will be confiscated and returned only after the
camp.
The above list is by no
means exhaustive, and other items may be similarly confiscated and returned
upon discretion of the camp committee.
This hike will not be physically and mentally easy, so be prepared when you attend this hike. It may be tough to do it alone, but together as a group, the hike becomes more bearable.
It is encouraging to see Secondary 1 Scouts expressing interest for this hike! They have decided to do the difficult thing and it's something worth commending.
A small reminder to bring your reply slip for the hike. Due to logistic issues, I will not be accepting anymore Scouts to join this hike even if they express interest. To summ everything up, I shall end with a quote that means a lot to me.
