National Exploration Challenge 2011
On behalf of the leaders of the Scout Unit, we offer our congratulations and appreciation to Scouts who took part in the National Exploration Challenge (NEC) held last Saturday, 30th July. Regardless of the result, just the sole act of stepping forward to take part in it is commendable.
We are proud to see Scouts who really gave the event their best shot and to put in so much effort into it. Similarly, we encourage all Scouts to play a more active role in Scouts and to create for yourself an unforgettable 4 years worth of experiences and memories.
Enjoy Scouting. Stay active. Be involved.
A side note to Wen Yu and Brandon: We understand that you couldn't join in for the post-competition dinner but don't worry, we will think of something else to show our appreciation for your effort.
On a different note and on a personal level, I would like to take this opportunity to commend on Jordan and Shaun Chan. After the competition, while we were on the shuttle bus back from Marina Barrage to Marina Bay MRT station, Jordan and Shaun took the initiative to move to the rear of the bus. It may be considered a small act to many but it really showed of their considerate self. I encourage all true blue Phantoms to learn from them and emulate these small acts that epitomize Scout Law (4): A Scout is disciplined and considerate.
Once again, congratulations and work hard for your upcoming CA! Put in your fullest effort!
BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE!
