Those who had sat for the test last Wednesday test and name is not on the list, have pass their respective SS or ASS Knotting. Please be reminded to bring along your record book next Wednesday Meeting to get the component signed. Failure to do so will result in immediate failure of the test.

If your lesson ends at 1:50, please have a heavy meal during your recess as you would not be allowed to buy food during the meeting.

Crime Prevention Course

Scouts who have signed up for the crime prevention course, please meet at Toa Payoh MRT station at 0930 hours in Full Scout Uniform. Ensure your uniform is ironed, your scarf is folded neatly, wogger is not faded, and other things you have to take note when you are wearing your full uniform. You are representing the image of the Unit so please watch your behaviour in public.

ASS/FCS Hike Report

ASS/FCS Hike Report Submission

All scouts who went for the Advance Scouts Standard or First Class Scout Standard Hike, please submit your report to SPL Lee Wen Yu by 15th July Friday.

ASS groups are suppose to submit a group report while FCS groups are suppose to submit an individual report. Late submission of your report may result in you failing.

ASS groups are expected to split the work among each members and the report is an group and not an individual effort

I do hope that your past 3 weeks of June hooolidays were both fulfilling and enjoyable. Yes as mentioned above, our Unit PLTC will be held on 2 separate occasions.

Regarding the 1 day Experience on the 18th June, 2 of our old boys Tham Chen Munn and Brandon Ong would be taking time off their busy schedules to come down and pass on to you you their knowledge and insight. Each of your flaming passion in Scouting are precious to us and we will do whatever we can, gladly to share our experiences and to help keep them burning. Of course sustaining a fire would be easy; but the key to making it hotter, brighter and stronger all lies within each and everyone of you. You may not know it but the potential inside everyone of you is so great that when combined together in our very own Unit, can shake the Earth.

Well then, start aligning yourselves with the School Values of being a scholar, sportsman and gentlemen.

On the 2D1N camp from 2nd - 3rd July, fun will be everywhere. See how much of it you can find even in the gloomiest of situations. Now did you all notice a double 'you' in the 2nd line of the second paragraph of my little note to you? If you did, well done. If you didn't, it's time to open up your eyes and scrutinise God's beautiful creations from all around. Remember, be observant, efficient and passionate towards one another. 9th - 11th June District Patrol Leader Training Camp (PLTC)

9th June 1 Day Session:

Attire: PE Attire with scouts socks and black shoes

Time: 0900 - 1800 HRS

Venue: Raffles Institution Campus

The Activities for the 1 Day Session would be as followed:

Scouts who are going for the PLTC please assemble at Bishan MRT station at 0840 HRS, do not be late.

10th - 11th June Camp

(Packing list and the attire would be given on the briefing in the 1 Day Session)

Venue: Terror Sea Scout Campsite

Reporting Time at the Terror Sea Scout Campsite would be 0800 HRS, please meet at Yishun MRT station at 0730 hours and we would be going to the campsite together.

Dismissal time would be at 1800 hours on the 11th on June

Scouts are expected to be punctual and reach the meeting area by the stipulated time.

All interested hike candidates are to meet in den at 1430 hrs (2:30 pm) for an important hike briefing. Bring along a pen and foolscap paper for notes taking. Do bring/wear your Full Scout Uniform as we would be proceeding there straight after the briefing.

Donation Draw ticket 2011
Scouts who have not taken their donation draw ticket, especially the Sec 4s, will be able to collect their donation draw tickets at the den from 1000 hrs - 1630 hrs. At anytime you are unable to find anyone in den, kindly contact either SPL Daryl or SPL Wen Yu.
The donation draw tickets are compulsory for all scouts to sell. You are able to sell to relatives, neighbours, friends and even door to door (like job week). Please be reminded to go in at least pairs, when you are going to sell from door to door.
*do not sell the tickets like during flag day as it is illegal.
*do not lose your tickets
*remember to let the donor to write down their particulars on the booklet.
For further information on how to sell etc., please ask your PL/APL or any senior.
Remember SAFETY FIRST
Also please be reminded that you will be wearing your Full Scout Uniform/ School related attire, so do take note of your behaviour and etiquette as you will not only be representing Maris Scouts, but also the School and the Singapore Scouts.
