Commendation.
We, Scout Leaders, would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation by commending the Scouts who assisted in the CCA Open House last Saturday.
We had received very positive and encouraging comments from other teachers that the set-up was very creatively done up.
Kudos to SPL Tay Zhi Ming, SPL Tan Jing Han, APL Adam Joshua Lee, APL Lee Wen Yu, APL Jordan Tok, APL Daryl Chan, and APL Pang Jun Rong. Your dedication and commitment personify our unit motto - to be the best that we can be.
As Mdm Maureen Tan placed it, "Hooray Scouts!"

Meeting schedule for 20th October 2010, Wednesday
Hi,
Meeting schedule for 20th October 2010, Wednesday.
Patrol 1: Pioneering
Patrol 2: Pioneering
Patrol 3: Pioneering
Patrol 4: Footdrill
Patrol 5: Gadget Building
Patrol 6: Pioneering
While having your activities, scouts, in groups of 4, will be asked to stop their patrol activities and will be tested to build a dome tent. After that, they will return to their respective patrols.
Points to note on previous meeting (15th October 2010, Friday):
1. Way too long for flagpole to be built
2. Pioneering team took a little too long to brief resulting in lesser time to build
3. In all activities, safety first.
4. And fidgeting during fall in is still an issue.
Improve on these points.
Scouts who went for Marist Ironkid Biathlon and got the finisher medal, please bring it during the following Wednesday meeting, 27th October 2010. We shall take a group photo to be on display for events, such as CCA Maze.
ZMT
------------------------------------------
To add on, as mentioned during the previous unit meeting, Scouts who attended the Marist Ironkid Biathlon will be entitled to the Swimmer's Proficiency Badge. The photo will be our way of verifying the participants.

Official Appointment of Joseph Chu Ken Yu.
This is an official notice to all Phantom Scouts of Maris Stella 2516 Phantom Scout Unit.
Joseph has shown to be an encouraging and responsible individual who well deserves the respect of his peers and juniors. He has well exemplified the brotherhood bond, the foundation of Scouting, through initiative in organizing activities that are team bonding in nature and also actively strived to organize and participate in self-improving activities that pursue the progress badges. In addition, he has shown respect towards his juniors, peers, Ventures, and leaders of the Scout Unit. Above all, he has fully demonstrated the essence of our Unit's Motto - to the best that we can be.
His dedication in giving his best in all that he does is well in line with Maris Stella's vision of a gentleman.
Upon recommendations and observations, we (Scouts Leaders) are unanimous in the decision to place PL Joseph Chu Ken Yu in the capacity of a Senior Patrol Leader.

Wednesday Meeting! 13 October!
Hi Scouts!
SA2 is over for most of you guys except for those taking Home Econs.
Hope that you guys had studied hard this time! You'll be getting back your results soon! So good luck. Don't be too sad if you did not score well this time. However, this means that u need to study harder next time. For those that put in lots of effort, your effort will definitely pay off this time round.
Malcolm Gladwell once said "If you want to shine, put in 10,000 hours".
If you had put in effort and hard work to study, you'll definitely score very well.
Ask yourself this: 'Did you put in effort to study this time round?'
If your answer is No, you really need to be more serious in your work.
If your answer is Yes, even if you score badly, it's alright. Because you know you had studied very hard this time.
Since it's the end of exam, which means SCOUT MEETING RESUMES!
Yes. There will be a Scout Meeting this Coming Wednesday.

Attendance is Compulsory and there's no such thing as optional meetings, unless stated clearly
